How a game of UniWords works

Each player has seven letter tiles. On your turn you place a word on the 15×15 board so that it connects to the words already there, and you score the letter values of every word you form. Double and triple letter squares multiply a single tile, double and triple word squares multiply the whole word, and using all seven tiles in one move earns 50 bonus points. You can swap tiles instead of playing, as long as at least seven tiles are left in the bag. The game ends when the tiles run out, and the highest score wins. English words are checked against a dictionary powered by data from Oxford Languages; Danish games use a separate Danish word list.

Learn the two-letter words. QI is the most played word in English UniWords games, and short words let you score in tight spots.
Aim high-value tiles at premium squares. A Q, Z or X on a triple letter square is worth far more than on a plain one.
Keep a balanced rack. A mix of vowels and consonants makes it easier to find a good move every turn.
Save the blank. A blank tile is often what turns a good rack into a seven-tile bingo.
Practise against the computer. Start on easy, then move up to medium and hard before you take on friends.
